Starting the Celebration

Students in Mr. Lincke’s classroom celebrated the holidays a little early this year. You could look at it as a sort of practice run. The kids will be warmed up when it comes time for them to help their families prepare a feast next week! Students helped prepare every piece of the meal that they served to guests yesterday, and like any good cook, they taste-tested along the way.  They made turkey, green beans, corn, stuffing, dinner rolls, punch, pumpkin pie, bread pudding, and more. They severed the delicious food to several guests, including class family members, CMS staff, and Pioneer administrators.

It was obvious that the festivities helped put them in the holiday spirit, randomly bursting into a rendition of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer at one point. Following suit with tradition, preparations for the meal began long before the kids arrived, with teacher’s kicking things off at 4:00 a.m.!

As one of the guests who attended the special Thanksgiving meal, I want to say thank you to everyone who made the event such a scrumptious success!
