Honoring Mr. Marriott

Rick Marriott has seen many changes as the leader of the Pioneer Center over the last 35 years and said the community has played an important role in shaping the organization as a whole.

Marriott, 64, has served as superintendent of the center — formally known as the Ross County Board of Developmental Disabilities — since 1980 and was honored Thursday during an open house commemorating his retirement. Before coming to Chillicothe, the Newark native worked for developmental disabilities boards in Licking and Perry counties.
