DD Awareness Month

The Pioneer Center and other related organizations celebrate Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month every March. Statewide, and across the nation, organizations devoted to serving individuals with developmental disabilities are planning special events in March to raise public awareness of the many abilities people have, regardless of disability. Stay tuned for information on our 2018 campaign theme.

Other Supporting Initiatives:

Restaurant Place mats – A throw-back, brought back. This initiative aims to educate and entertain diners. We partner with local eateries to help spread the word in support of DD Awareness Month. Pioneer provides 11″x14″ place mats and delivers them to your restaurant before the start of the month. Click here to view a copy of the 2017 place mat.

Window Paintings: We partner with National Art Honor Society Students from local schools to paint storefronts in Ross County. Click here to view photos from our 2017 painting day.
