Nashville Musician Plays for Pioneer Students

Everyone at the Pioneer Center got a sweet pre-Halloween treat last Wednesday when Scott Collier, a Nashville-based musician and Ross County-native, visited the school to sing for the students. Scott’s presence was a real present for the students. He sang in the courtyard, strumming an acoustic guitar. Afterwards Scott was gracious enough to sign autographs for students.

Scott has a personal connection to Pioneer, as he is the relative of a current student. Moreover, his mother, Doris Collier, used to serve as teacher’s aide some time ago, and was a foster mother to a former Pioneer student.

Interestingly, this was not Scott’s first performance at Pioneer, he is sang here as a very young boy. We were all very happy to see Scott return to Pioneer, still doing what he loves, and doing it very well. We sincerely thank Scott for sharing his talent and his big heart with us.

Check out Scott’s website here where you can listen to his music, check out tour dates, pictures, and much more!DSC_0179
